United Supermarkets Sponsors MLK Wreath Placing Ceremony at Texas Tech

United Supermarkets proudly partnered with Texas Tech University to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by sponsoring the MLK Wreath Placing Ceremony, held on Wednesday, January 22 at Texas Tech’s Memorial Circle.

This event was part of Texas Tech’s weeklong celebration of MLK Week, which features various activities dedicated to honoring Dr. King’s life, achievements, and enduring message of equality and justice. The wreath placing ceremony, hosted by University Student Housing and the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity chapters, Eta Upsilon and Omicron Epsilon Lambda, recognized Dr. King,  a fellow fraternity member, and celebrated his lasting contributions to civil rights. 

The wreath generously crafted and provided by United Supermarkets, served as a symbol of remembrance and reflection. United Supermarkets is committed to supporting community events and initiatives celebrating diversity and inclusion. We are honored to partner with Texas Tech to pay tribute to Dr. King’s legacy and encourage others to carry forward his mission of justice and unity.
