Teachers on the Rise Banquets across Texas
Over the past week, United Supermarkets, Market Street, Mrs. Baird’s, and other community partners came together to celebrate Teachers on the Rise end-of-year banquets in Lubbock, Amarillo and North Texas. While we’ve shared each month’s winners with you throughout the year, these special events mark the program’s grand finale.
When a teacher is recognized as a Teachers on the Rise award recipient, they receive a certificate and a few small prizes, but the highlight is the invitation to the end-of-the-year banquet. At these celebrations, honorees gather with fellow recipients for additional recognition, great food, and a well-deserved evening in their honor. Best of all, each teacher has the chance to win a grand prize valued at more than $1,200, an exciting way to kick off summer break!
Rather than naming a single teacher of the year, we celebrate all of these exceptional educators. The evening is filled with fun drawings, trivia and plenty of surprises, all leading up to the grand prize giveaway. The excitement in the room is undeniable, and the winners are always thrilled.
“Seeing the excitement and gratitude of the teachers at the end-of-the-year banquets makes our investment in these communities truly worthwhile,” said Abie Rampy, director of public relations for The United Family. “These educators work incredibly hard every day and often don’t receive the recognition they deserve for the impact they make. The Teachers on the Rise program is one small way we can show our appreciation and celebrate them.”
Thank you to our team members in Amarillo, Lubbock, and North Texas for your continued support of this impactful program.
