UNSUNG HEROES: DAVID HOWARD
The United Family’s mission statement is: Ultimate Service. Superior Performance. Positive Impact. Six words that encompass the goal team members across the company strive to meet every day while working in United Family stores. However, some team members take that mission and apply it outside the walls of the stores as well.
David Howard is one of those team members.
As POS Clerk for #545 United Supermarkets in Abilene, this former Air Force Master Sergeant puts his all into the job every day. Not only does he embody The United Family’s mission statement in his daily tasks around the store, but he pours that same commitment into the community around him.
David has been instrumental in community outreach in the Abilene area. From gathering food items to donate to raising extra cash, he is always looking for ways to give back to the people around him. Not only does this have a direct impact on the community around him, but it inspires his fellow team members to rise up and do the same.
Through a collaboration between The United Family with Everyday Heroes, David is being honored this month for his dedication and commitment to our mission statement. Whether he’s adjusting pricing stickers, going the extra mile for a guest, or collecting donations for local non-profits, David exemplifies what it means to be a hero in everyday life.
