Teachers on the Rise Returns to Celebrate Outstanding Educators Across Texas

As students head back to the classroom, The United Family and Mrs Baird’s are teaming up to recognize the educators who make a difference every day through the Teachers on the Rise program. This year marks a major milestone, with the program kicking off its 15th anniversary in Amarillo, its 16th anniversary in Lubbock, and its 6th year for the North Texas throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

For more than a decade, Teachers on the Rise has provided students, parents, and family members with the opportunity to nominate teachers who go above and beyond to inspire, encourage, and support students. Throughout the school year, outstanding educators are selected and recognized for their impact in local classrooms and communities.

In each region, three teachers will be recognized each month throughout the school year, representing elementary, middle/junior high, and high school campuses. Winning educators will receive prizes from United Supermarkets and local community partners, while the students who submit the winning nominations will also be recognized.

At the end of the school year, all Teachers on the Rise winners will be invited to a special banquet, where they will have the opportunity to win additional prizes, including a $1,000 grand prize.

“We are excited to recognize teachers across our communities for the amazing work they do with children every day,” said Abie Rampy, director of public relations for United Supermarkets. “Teachers continually go above and beyond for their students, and Teachers on the Rise is one small way we can show our appreciation for everything they do.”

“Mrs Baird’s is proud to continue our partnership with United Supermarkets through Teachers on the Rise,” said Shane Sumrow, representative for Mrs Baird’s. “Honoring teachers is one meaningful way to give back to the communities that have supported our companies for generations.”

Over the years, thousands of nominations have poured in, sharing stories of teachers who go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of their students. From those heartfelt nominations, hundreds of educators have been surprised with the honor of being named Teachers on the Rise winners. With each passing year, the program’s reach and impact continue to grow, and 2026 promises to be its biggest year yet.

Community members in participating areas can nominate deserving educators throughout the school year by visiting TeachersOnTheRise.com. Together, The United Family, Mrs Baird’s, and community partners look forward to celebrating another year of inspiring teachers who are making a lasting difference in the lives of students across Texas.
