Building Hope Together: The United Family Supports Mission 2540

Strong communities are built through meaningful relationships, and organizations like Mission 2540 are helping make that happen every day in Lubbock. By investing in children, supporting families, and creating opportunities for connection, Mission 2540 is helping build a brighter future for the Lubbock community.

To support those efforts, The United Family recently presented a $10,000 donation to Mission 2540 during a special community event in Lubbock. The afternoon brought together families, children, Mission 2540 volunteers, and team members from The United Family for fun-filled event focused on fellowship, community and connection.

Children and families enjoyed painting pumpkins and sharing snacks, creating an opportunity for meaningful time together. In addition to the donation, The United Family provided reusable shopping bags filled with goodies for participating children to take home.

“Organizations like Mission 2540 are creating positive change in our communities every day by investing in children and building strong relationships with families,” said Chris James, market vice president of operations for The United Family. “We are honored to support their work and grateful for the opportunity to spend time with the children and families they serve.”

Mission 2540’s work is centered on bringing hope, encouragement, and practical resources to children and families through relationship-driven community outreach. The organization’s programs create opportunities for children to learn, grow, and thrive while helping families build strong support systems within their community.

The donation from The United Family will help Mission 2540 continue providing snack bags to children participating in its after-school programs. These efforts help ensure children have access to nutritious food while creating welcoming environments where they can feel supported and encouraged.

Supporting local organizations that address hunger and strengthen families is an important part of The United Family’s commitment to the communities it serves. Through financial support, volunteerism, and partnerships with organizations like Mission 2540, The United Family continues working to make a meaningful difference for neighbors across West Texas and beyond.

Events like this serve as a reminder that even simple moments, whether it’s painting pumpkins, sharing a conversation, or providing a nutritious snack, can have a lasting impact. By working together, The United Family and Mission 2540 are helping create stronger communities where children and families have the resources and support they need to succeed.
