Ringing Bells for Those in Need

Ringing Bells For Those In Need

Last week, Salvation Army and United Family officials kicked off the annual Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign. While we kicked off this campaign in Lubbock, Plainview, Wichita Falls, and Amarillo, these iconic red kettles can be seen at almost every United Family store location across Texas and New Mexico.

To help kick off this year’s campaign, The United Family gave a lead gift of $1,000 to the Salvation Army in Lubbock, and $1,000 to the Salvation Army to the Wichita Falls. In addition, United team members give back and sign up to volunteer by Registering to Ring. The United Family has hosted the campaign kickoff for over a decade.

“Our caring community views the well-being and care of others as part of its missional objectives, and The Salvation Army is so privileged to share in a partnership that changes lives and restores hope,” shares Major David Worthy with the Salvation Army. “The Red Kettle Campaign is ignited by The Salvation Army and fueled by the community – every penny raised through the campaign remains right here in West Texas to provide life-sustaining services and programs to so many in need – during the holiday season and throughout the year.”

Throughout November and December, volunteers and United Family team members can be seen ringing the bell to raise money for the Salvation Army. To volunteer or donate, click here. The listed United Family stores below will host red-kettle bell-ringers during the following dates. in
