Hereford Welcomes United Supermarkets with Re-Grand Opening Ceremony
The sign out front may have changed, but one thing remains the same: our commitment to serving the Hereford, Texas community.
On Sept. 16, we celebrated the re-grand opening of our Hereford store with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, joined by community leaders, guests, and team members who helped mark an exciting new chapter as the store officially transitioned from Amigos to United Supermarkets.
For many Hereford shoppers, the faces inside the store will still be familiar. The same dedicated team is here and ready to serve, while guests can now enjoy the expanded selections, services, and shopping conveniences that come with the United Supermarkets banner.
“We are excited to celebrate this new chapter for our Hereford store and the community we have proudly served for many years,” said Chris James, market vice president of operations for The United Family. “While guests will notice a new name, an updated look, and expanded offerings, what remains unchanged is our commitment to delivering exceptional service and supporting the Hereford community.”
The transition brings new opportunities for shoppers, including access to Drive Up & Go, The United Family’s online grocery shopping platform. Guests can order groceries through the United Supermarkets app for pickup or delivery, making it easier than ever to fit grocery shopping into a busy schedule. Need something quickly? Flash Orders offer fast fulfillment for those last-minute grocery runs.
For Store Director Tiffany Torres, the change represents an opportunity to offer even more to the community while building on the strong relationships already established over the years.
“We are excited to welcome guests into this newly branded United Supermarkets store and provide them with even more products and services, while continuing the outstanding service they expect from us,” Torres said.
The celebration was also a chance to recognize the organizations that help make Hereford such a special place. As part of the event, The United Family presented three $2,500 donations to support local initiatives, benefiting the Hereford Food Pantry, Hereford ISD and the City of Hereford’s youth fishing event.
While the store has a new look and a new name, its mission remains unchanged: serving Hereford with ultimate service, superior performance and a positive impact.
We are proud to welcome guests to United Supermarkets in Hereford and look forward to being part of the community for years to come.
