Rio Rancho Market Street's Ribbon Cutting
Last week, we held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of The United Family’s 100th grocery store location in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. This brand new, 80,000+ square foot Market Street is now officially open and ready to serve the community with the top notch service and hospitality our brand is known for.
The ceremony began with a warm welcome from The United Family’s Regional VP, Carlos Hernandez, who introduced Senior Pastor Kent Bernard and Executive Pastor Brandon Bennett to bless the store and the team.
Dan Szuch, store director of Market Street, proudly introduced his new store team before inviting Sidney Hopper, president of The United Family, to share greetings and present two special community donations – $5,000 to Elevate the Spectrum and $10,000 to St. Felix Pantry. As part of The United Family’s tradition, every grand opening includes giving back to local organizations. These donations celebrate the store opening and reflect our commitment to the communities we serve. In honor of our 100th store, this donation will help feed 100 families in the Rio Rancho area.
The ceremony continued with remarks from Mayor Greg Hull and Chamber President Jerry Schalow, who welcomed Market Street to Rio Rancho.
The United Family’s COO, Chris James, highlighted all the exciting features this new Market Street has to offer, including SMōK’D Pit BBQ, Chopsticks Noodle Bar, online shopping, a drive-thru pharmacy, concierge and catering services, farm-fresh produce, a full-service meat market, bakery, floral, and so much more.
After the main event, we held a second ribbon-cutting ceremony for Market Street Express, where we celebrated with a $5,000 donation to the local Special Olympics.
We are thrilled to expand our footprint in Rio Rancho and beyond, proud to open our 100th store with the same values we started with – service and community. Here’s to the next 100!
