Teachers on The Rise Kicks off Another Year of Celebrating Local Educators
Back-to-school season is in full swing, and what better way to celebrate than by honoring the educators who make such a difference in our communities? This week, The United Family and Mrs Baird’s officially kicked off the annual Teachers On the Rise program with celebrations across three markets.
In Lubbock, United Supermarkets #537 hosted the launch event, welcoming guests, students, teachers, and community members to learn more about the program and nominate their favorite teacher. This will be the 15th year of the program in the Lubbock area!
In Amarillo, United Supermarkets #530 kept the excitement going by spotlighting how local students can nominate teachers who inspire them. This will be the 14th year of the program for the Amarillo area!
In DFW, the kick off celebrations will be held across two stores: #696 in Mansfield and #560 in Colleyville to help reach even more teachers and families across the Metroplex. This will be the 5th year of the program in North Texas!

At each kick-off event, Mrs Baird’s, local radio DJs, and United Family team members handed out flyers with nomination information and treated guests to free Mrs Baird’s donuts
Throughout the school year, students can nominate their favorite teachers at TeachersOnTheRise.com. Each month, three teachers in each area will be recognized with prizes from The United Family, Mrs Baird’s, and local businesses —one from an elementary school, one from a middle school, and one from a high school. Students who submit a winning nomination also receive a $50 American Express gift card.
For the better part of two decades, Teachers on The Rise has had a tradition of recognizing the people shaping the next generation, and this year’s kickoffs showed how excited our communities are to keep it going!
