Celebrating Our Pharmacy Teams

Celebrating Our Pharmacy Teams

Next week is Pharmacy Appreciation Week and we’re honored to recognize the incredible dedication United Family pharmacy teams bring to their work every day. Each year, this celebratory week is dedicated to recognizing the vital role pharmacists and pharmacy technicians play in keeping our communities healthy.

President Sidney Hopper and Director of Pharmacy Tim Purser share a special message of gratitude in this video, thanking United Family pharmacy teams for their commitment to caring for our guests.

Across the company, our pharmacy teams shared what makes their work meaningful and what this week means to them.

Adam Huddleston, pharmacy manager at #688 Market Street Pharmacy in Amarillo, said his favorite thing about working in the pharmacy is taking care of our guests.

Shelby Sheffield, pharmacy manager at #513 United Supermarkets Pharmacy in Vernon, said her pharmacy team goes above and beyond by building relationships with local physician offices and employers.

Michael Konkol, a staff pharmacist at Albertsons Market Pharmacy #924 in Albuquerque, describes pharmacists as “fantastic!”

Kristin Caskey, an immunization technician at #688 Market Street Pharmacy in Amarillo, shared that her favorite aspect of working in a pharmacy is the connections she makes with her colleagues and the guests she meets.

April Barnett, pharmacy manager at #563 Market Street Pharmacy in Allen, describes pharmacists as “courageous!”

Atlantis Garcia, immunization technician at #928 Albertsons Market Pharmacy in Albuquerque, says their favorite things about working in the pharmacy are their coworkers, being part of healthcare, and constantly learning new things.

Whether it’s helping a guest understand their medication or going the extra mile to make someone’s day a little brighter, our pharmacists and technicians make a lasting difference every day!

To all of our pharmacy team members – thank you for the care and expertise you bring to your work. You make our communities stronger, healthier, and better. Happy Pharmacy Appreciation Week!
