The United Family Celebrates New Andrews United Supermarkets with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
The United Family officially welcomed its newest United Supermarkets location to Andrews on Thursday, June 25, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and store tours for community members, local leaders and media guests ahead of the store’s public opening. The new store and United Express fuel station opened to guests on Friday, June 26, at 6 a.m.
The Andrews location marks an exciting milestone for The United Family as its first store in the community. The nearly 50,000-square-foot store reflects the continued evolution of the United Supermarkets banner, bringing many of the products, services and conveniences that guests across West Texas have come to know and trust.
“We are excited and proud to open this new location in the Andrews community,” said Sidney Hopper, president of The United Family. “It is beautiful, spacious and full of some of the best United Supermarkets has to offer. It is also especially meaningful to our company to expand our footprint into a new community that has shown us so much love and hospitality.”
Guests will find a wide variety of offerings designed to make shopping more convenient and enjoyable, including a full-service pharmacy with drive-thru access, ReadyMeals, an extensive beer and wine selection, a fresh meat service counter featuring prime selections, fresh seafood, a full-service bakery and a floral department offering custom arrangements and delivery services.
“From the drive-thru pharmacy services to the floral department’s custom arrangements, this United Supermarkets location will bring value, quality and great service to our guests in Andrews,” Hopper said. “We can’t wait to welcome guests through the doors.”
Store Director Derek Matthes said the new location combines outstanding products and services with the guest-focused culture that defines The United Family.

In addition to the main store, the adjacent United Express fuel and convenience store offers added convenience with 24/7 gas pumps and a drive-thru service, allowing guests to shop without leaving their vehicles. Guests can also save up to $1 per gallon through rewards available in the For U™ app.
