United in Every Mile: United Supermarkets Marathon

At United Supermarkets, community has always been at the heart of what we do. That community spirit took center stage this past weekend at the United Supermarkets Marathon in Lubbock, Texas. This Boston qualifier brings runners from across the country to West Texas each year. Welcoming runners from near and far, we were thrilled to support and get this event to fruition. 

A few of United’s team members laced up their shoes to take on the challenge and join on race day. Whether running the full marathon, half-marathon, or 10k, there were races for everyone! The runners’ determination proved the power of perseverance. 

At the finish line, United Family President Sidney Hopper, COO Chris James, and CMO Tony Crumpton were present to cheer on every finisher and give their heartfelt congratulations with a medal.

There’s nothing quite like that energetic feeling when someone crosses the finish line, and our team was honored to be a part of those special moments.
