United Supermarkets & Kellanova Give Back to Amarillo College Students with $10,000 Donation
At United Supermarkets, we believe in helping one another – in partnership with Kellanova; we donated $10,000 to Amarillo College’s on-campus food pantry, a resource that makes a huge difference in the lives of students and staff.
This donation is part of Kellanova’s Better Days Promise, an initiative at the Advocacy and Resource Center on the Washington Street Amarillo College Campus, which provides non-perishable food and toiletries to students and staff in need. Every person who walks through its doors gets the chance to worry a little less about groceries and focus more on their education and goals.
“We are proud to partner with our friends at Kellanova to support hunger programs in our communities,” said Travis Chaney, regional vice president for The United Family. “The AC Pantry is an awesome program for students and staff at Amarillo College. We hope that these funds will have a positive impact on those across the campus who are in need.”
Jordan Herrera, director of social services at Amarillo College, also shared:
“We are so grateful for United Supermarkets and Kellanova for their support. Their generosity will help us continue meeting the essential needs of our students so they can focus on achieving their educational goals.”
Giving back is at the heart of what we do, and we’re proud to stand alongside partners like Kellanova to make sure no student has to choose between school and supper.
