Merry Christmas!

As we celebrate on a much-deserved day off, after the busiest season of our year, I want to take a moment to share this note of sincere thanks and excitement as we head into a new year together.

It seems to me that the theme for 2019 is uncertainty. We don’t really know what next year holds for us in our business environment. We’ve enjoyed a strong last two quarters with a lot going right for us. With peaks though, there must come valleys.

Market conditions are inconsistent. We could be headed into a renewed oil boom or a possible bust. There are some folks out there that foresee a recession; some expect an extended period of market positivity. Without a crystal ball, we just don’t know.

Even facing so much uncertainty, I’m reminded of three constants that we can rely on: faith, family and work family. It hit close to home for me recently just how important all three are.

There is a need, no matter where you are in your faith journey, to grow your faith every day. Equally important to take care of is the relationship you have with your family. You give support to your family just as you draw support from them. Our work family is unique in that the people we depend on every day can bring great joy and give you support when you need it.

As we look to the next year, we will continue to build relationships in our work family and count on those on our right, on our left and in leadership. Individually, we will do our very best every day… we are each somebody else’s right and left.

My hope for each of you in 2019 is that you will grow in your faith, concentrate on supporting your family and continue to depend on your work family.

When we lean on the constants and let them support and guide us, we’re better able to enjoy life. To me, enjoying life is the definition of success. Enjoying life means being your best and experiencing joy and fulfillment both at work and at home. One without the other isn’t true success.

What a better time to reconfirm those three things that are always there for us than with celebration of the birth of Christ.

May God bless you and your family as we celebrate Christmas and bring in a new year.

Robert

My hope for each of you in 2019 is that you will grow in your faith, concentrate on supporting your family and continue to depend on your work family.
