Diabetes Awareness Month

Diabetes awareness month

November is here, and nearly gone, but that means there’s still time to raise awareness about diabetes, a chronic disease that affects millions of Americans and their families. Diabetes is a disease that occurs when your body cannot produce or use insulin properly.

At The United Family, we care about your health and well-being. That’s why we are proud to support several diabetes non-profit organizations, in addition to creating a diabetes-friendly grocery store environment. We offer a variety of diabetes-friendly foods and products to help guests and team members enjoy a balanced and nutritious diet. Whether you are looking for fresh fruits and vegetables, lean protein, or dairy, we have something for everyone. Guests and team members can also find the Diabetes Lifestyle, No Sugar Added, and Carb Conscious tags to help identify which items may help with blood sugar control.

Did you know that The United Family offers Diabetes Shopping Guides to guests and team members? We also have our dietitian-curated blog, Happy + Nourished, which provides recipes and information about anything health-related, including diabetes. With the holiday season right around the corner, be sure to check out Happy + Nourished for tips on how to navigate all the family meals and decadent desserts. Remember, navigating dinner time with diabetes does not have to be a chore.

Reminder, you are not alone in this journey. The United Family is here to support you and make your life easier and happier. Happy Diabetes Awareness Month! Happy + Nourished Blog, with a focus on Diabetes:  https://www.happyandnourished.com/?s=diabetes
