The United Family kicks-off annual School Supply Drives
Back-to-School season is just around the corner, and The United Family is excited to kick off our annual School Supply Drive – because every student deserves to start the school year off with a backpack full of supplies.
We kicked off things with an event in Lubbock, where we welcomed local school district representatives to help us celebrate the start of this campaign. The representatives of each participating school district were given a $150 gift card to purchase school supplies for kids in need. Although, it seemed like an episode of Supermarket Sweep; all of the superintendents were happy to grab a shopping cart and go on a school supplies shopping spree. They were on the move to grab all the essentials, including pencils, paper, markers, and more.
From now through July 27 guests have the opportunity to donate any dollar amount at the register at any United Supermarkets, Market Street, or Amigos location in the Lubbock, Slaton, Abilene, and Wichita Falls area. Each of the school districts will then use the funds to purchase school supplies for the students in need.
The United Family is incredibly thankful for the opportunity to give back to the communities we serve through this annual School Supply Drive. We are proud to support local school districts and ensure that every student has the resources they need for a successful school year.
