Teams in the Panhandle Prove You Can Do Anything Together

From November 14 to December 7, United Family stores across the Texas Panhandle worked with the community on the “Together We Can” campaign, an annual time of giving to support the the High Plains Food Bank.

The overall goal of the campaign was to raise $250,000 for the HPFB, which equates to 2.25 million meals for families and neighbors experiencing food insecurity. Partners and businesses across the community joined forces to help achieve that goal.

As for The United Family, our teams worked hard to do our part to reach the goal. When everything was all said and done, team members across the Panhandle blew expectations out of the water by helping collect nearly $90,000 in donations from communities across the area.

The United Family, as a company, donated an additional $12,500 to help reach a total of $100,000 for the “Together We Can” campaign! With each dollar providing nine meals, the $100,000 we raised will help supply 900,000 meals!

In addition to monetary donations, our Market Street #526 in Amarillo also served as the home base for news broadcasts and as a collection point for food items like canned goods and boxed goods.

“We are so proud of our teams for all of their hard work during this year’s Together We Can campaign,” said Travis Chaney, RVP for the Amarillo region. “I want to say thank you and commend everyone for making a positive impact on the lives of so many people across our communities.”

The campaign overall surpassed its goal of $250,000 and raised a grand total of $350,398. Again, thank you to all our team members who helped the food bank achieve this goal!
